Aztec, a Deception Based in Fraud.

Image
Greetings. The Aztec hoax. The case that keeps on giving, to those who seek financial gain and notoriety. In this case, Scott and Suzanne Ramsey.  Owners of "Uncle Scott's All Natural Root Beer," Scott and Suzanne Ramsey are best-known in UFO circles as the couple advocating for the legitimacy of the Aztec UFO crash case, a historical case that has been shown to be a hoax by multiple independent researchers for decades. The details of the case are of some importance, and do cast reasonable doubt on the veracity of the claim. They are as follows: 1. The controlled landing allegedly happened in March of 1948. 2. The extraterrestrial craft carried a crew of sixteen beings, all found deceased.  3. The crew allegedly stocked concentrated food wafers and heavy water for drinking purposes.  4. The craft's point of origin was the planet Venus.  5. The deceased occupants of the craft all had perfect teeth and wore 1890's garb, or clothing.  6. The crew of the craft were ...

An Uninformed Little Bird.

Greetings. Candid discussions. Civil interactions. Open considerations. All productive courses of action. All offering a chance for the advancement of knowledge and the addressing of important issues. Unfortunately, some people are not comfortable with such activities, and only do so in safe, confined environments.  David Fritz, of Consultants of Paranormal Research Organization (COPRO) is one such individual. A recent post, dated February 9th of 2024, that appeared on the San Antonio Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (SAPRO) Facebook page, was shared on Mr. Fritz's personal Facebook page. Instead of commenting directly on the SAPRO page, an action which would have reached over 5,378 people, the following that SAPRO currently has, Mr. Fritz commented in a safe environment, his personal page. The exchange of ideas and opinions should occur on open, public platforms, so that all points of view can be heard and considered, instead of on a closed platform that only offers confirma...

Aliens on the Cranium.

Image
Greetings. Aliens on the brain.  The general public loves aliens, not the 1986 science-fiction movie starring Sigourney Weaver, but the little green men that so many people around the world firmly believe have visited the planet and anally probed unsuspecting humans, some on multiple occasions. There are alien movies, UFO festivals, alien themed television shows, and "just a few" examples of alien merchandise; alien t-shirts, alien bumper stickers, and most disturbingly, alien condoms. The public's fascination with aliens began long before the modern history of the UFO phenomenon kicked off during the Second World War, perhaps beginning with the claims of the late Percival Lowell; that the planet Mars was the home of an advanced extraterrestrial civilization, an alien society that had built canals all across the Martian surface. So in a strange way, aliens came far before UFOs, and had their own special place in society well before the foo fighters (not the rock band) arr...

William L. Moore Wasn't Wrong.

Image
Greetings. William L. Moore. The 1989 MUFON International Symposium. Those who are relatively familiar with UFO history will recognize the significance of Mr. Moore and the events of that summer's Symposium.  I will not comment on the actions of Mr. Moore or of some of the attendees of that year's Symposium, but one comment that Mr. Moore made during the course of his presentation spoke volumes at the time, and continues to carry substantial weight in today's UFO environment. Mr. Moore stated, and I quote: "Those who want proof of how well the process works need only look around you. Every time one of you repeats an unverified or unsubstantiated bit of information without qualifying it as such, you are contributing to that process, and every time you do it, someone in a need to know position sits back and has a horselaugh at your expense."  William Moore wasn't wrong. In today's social media driven UFO subculture, the posting and sharing of unsubstantiated...

Artificially Leading UFO Sheep.

Image
Greetings. The capabilities of artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly apparent, and to some, disquieting. One aspect of artificial intelligence that has some importance to the UFO "field" is the increasing prevalence of artificially created images of unidentified flying objects.  The above image is one such artificial creation. Crystal clear and full of details. Not the kind of photographs that UFO investigators usually have to deal with, but that may be changing with the times. Moving forward, such artificially created images may end up covering the desks of UFO field investigators, muddying the waters, obscuring the objective facts and truth underneath a layer of artificially constructed nonsense. Just take a look at social media and the Internet. Artificially created images of UFOs are dime a dozen, as the saying goes, used to advertise, to self-promote, and by business entities like MUFON to sell and promote merchandise, memberships, and other ufological chaff....

Self-Examination Vs. Excrement.

Image
Greetings. Self-examination. The process of taking an honest look at one's own belief structures in an attempt to consider other points of view, other concepts, other possibilities.  Such an effort can pay dividends, especially when new information has come to light which may or may not confirm any prior positions and/or conclusions. The ability to maintain a level of pliability and a willingness to consider other conclusions is something that often does not occur, in many different fields of study. Scientists and laypeople alike are guilty of such inflexibility, which holds back the process of advancement and the acceptance of new knowledge. The long history of scientific research bears that out, with new ideas, concepts, and theories only being accepted after the old generations pass away, leaving new generations to take up the baton of scientific advancement. The situation holds in all fields of study, including of course, the UFO "field."  Now comes the excrement. A s...

Is Anyone Out There?

Image
Greetings. Are we alone in the universe?  The potentiality for extraterrestrial life forms is perhaps the most challenging and thought-provoking inquiry the human species has ever considered. As scientists have begun to slowly explore the incredible vastness of the universe, they have discovered that potential homes for extraterrestrial life forms are incredibly commonplace, numbering in the billions and billions, as the late Carl Sagan used to say. Astronomers have discovered terrestrial planets like Mars and the Earth, ice giants similar to Neptune and Uranus, and gaseous giants reminiscent of Jupiter and Saturn. Just a cursory scan of the numbers strongly supports the idea that extraterrestrial life is a reality, likely a common occurrence in the universe. However, since we have not discovered any extraterrestrial life forms as of yet, we cannot discount the depressing possibility that the Earth is the only place in the universe where life exists. Not a popular belief, but a pos...

Immorality on Full Display, Courtesy of the UFO Subculture.

Image
Greetings. Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick. The name evokes brutally negative and highly speculative responses, all originating within the confines of the UFO subculture.  Dr. Kirkpatrick's career of public service is long and accomplished, and is not the focus of this particular writing. The rhetoric coming from the UFO subculture is.  The UFO subculture has a penchant for making completely unsubstantiated declarations about people who don't hold popular, or confirming positions. Claims of being a government operative, or a misinformation agent are as common as bird excrement on a windshield, and are just a valuable. The situation has always been a constant in UFO circles, but for some reason that escapes me, the recent attacks on Dr. Kirkpatrick have been especially vicious and personal in nature. As a result of the rhetoric coming from the UFO arena, I have come to a disheartening conclusion; that the UFO ship has sailed, and there is no putting the extraterrestrial genie back in the ...

The UFO Mythology.

Image
Greetings. The UFO problem, and its attached subculture, has undergone a substantial transformation in the past few decades, changes that have accelerated in recent years.  The UFO problem remains unexplained, and to a certain extent, undetermined. The UFO subculture is still the playground for people who hold an interest in the topic, as it will always be. The UFO mythology, the UFO religion as it were, has become the most powerful influence on the public, driving the course of the discussions and interactions. The UFO subculture's penchant for believing untruths, and the resulting legendary status of some invalid cases is a direct result of the almost total lack of critical thinking skills put on full display by many UFO people, some UFO "researchers," and the majority of UFO celebrities/personalities. A religion it is.  Once upon a time, not in a galaxy far, far away, but in a world that seemingly doesn't exist any longer, the UFO "field" used to focus on...

How to Defeat the UFO Business.

Image
Greetings. The UFO subculture is a business. Plain and simple.  My friend Chris George Zuger uttered that statement a few weeks ago on "The Malliard Report," and I cannot agree more with his sentiments. The UFO "field" is all about self-promotion and the selling of product and merchandise. There are some outstanding people involved in actively researching the UFO problem, but those people are about as rare in today's environment as a live thylacine in the highlands of Tasmania. Rare indeed.  The UFO problem is certainly worthy of legitimate scientific examination, with skeptical people like Carl Sagan and Philip J. Klass having made the same declaration in the past. But, is the UFO problem receiving the investigative treatment it so richly deserves? Absolutely not. What the public is exposed to is a never-ending flood of false promises, misinformation, unsubstantiated claims, and a healthy dose of capitalism at its finest. The focus of virtually the entire UFO s...
