According to the organization's website, a Benefactor Level donation includes the following perks:
1. Special reserved seating at the MUFON Symposium.
2. Private Benefactor reception at the MUFON Symposium with speakers, Executive Director and MUFON Board of Directors.
3.Personal Photo with MUFON Executive Director and Keynote Speaker at MUFON Symposium.
4. Lifetime membership to MUFON which includes the MUFON e-journal.
5. 10% Discount at the MUFON store.
Wow, talk about some tempting perks. Might as well offer a dinner date with the racist John Ventre or the convicted sex offender Jan Harzan.
Fifteen of the organization's benefactors have made donations of at least 5,000 dollars, so the organization certainly takes in a substantial amount of money, beyond the sales of merchandise and memberships, however, not a single cent goes to the local chapters or towards field investigations, nothing, not a damned thing. As a result, the benefactors have been directly supporting the abhorrent, nonsensical activities of the organization. Their donations have kept MUFON afloat, allowing the racist, immoral, and criminal elements to maintain their influence. I suppose the benefactors don't mind, which calls into question their own moral fortitude.
I need not write another word.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I just want to know WHY you call the entire organization of MUFON racist? Where is your proof of that? Not just one person out of thousands of participants, but to brand an entire organization racist requires a body of proof. Where is that? And where is the criminal activity beyond one bad apple many moons ago? Where is your body of proof? To tar an entire organization you better have proof of a pattern. Have you ever been a member of any organization? Guess what. If you have more than a thousand people anywhere, you're going to have some issues somewhere. I'm not sure if you've ever been able to fit in with any organization, but if you did, you would find this out. -- Sue Swiatek
ReplyDeleteMy proof? The racist rants of John Ventre and Steve Hudgeons are public record, with their social media posts leaving a lot to be desired. I'll write up a public post to remind the UFO masses about their racist activities. Thank you for the inspiration.
DeleteI was a member of the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization, back in the 1980's prior to the Lorenzens passing away. That organization's professional actions and conduct set the standards for all civilian UFO investigative organizations. MUFON does not measure up. Period.
As far as your thoughts on the article, I respect your right to express your opinions, but I don't agree with or respect them. If you don't like my articles about MUFON, you are welcome to pick a number, get in line, and kiss my ass.
I encourage you to join my Facebook group, "MUFON: A Cult of Incompetence." There you can read about the negative experiences of many, many people when having to deal with MUFON and its leaders.
