Ufological Castration.

Greetings. No balls.

"Most of ufology has no balls for any intellectual combat. They are all about not losing their place in the UFO social club."

The aforementioned quote, which appeared on X "Twitter," was written by a hardened skeptic who is known for making blunt, indecorous, ill-mannered statements about certain players in the UFO subculture. However, is the statement incorrect? No. It perfectly captures the current situation, a situation that has stood firm for the past few decades. Which situation you may be asking yourself? Well....

When hoaxed content comes to light in the UFO arena, how often do UFO researchers call out the information, how many call out the offending individual by name? Not very often at all in both cases. The reasons can be seen as complex, but the reality is completely different, being quite simple to grasp. The specific reason is simple: People in the UFO subculture will not make statements that will place their stature or popularity within the UFO social club at risk. Period.

Take this as an example. How often do you hear a UFO researcher discuss a hoaxed UFO case as if the case in question was valid? Far too often. How often do some "researchers" fully embrace historical hoaxes? Far too often. Need a specific example? Mr. Richard Dolan comes to mind. Dolan has embraced the Aztec hoax from the late 1940's, a historical hoax which is based on a story originally pushed by Silas Newton and Leo Gebauer, two men who ended up being convicted of fraud in a federal court. Not exactly quality sources of information. Yet Dolan seems quite comfortable wrapping his immoral arms around the case, even broadcasting interviews with other like-minded morons.

While the few voices that speak up against the nonsense are well-known in the UFO world (Randle, Brewer, Aldrich, Clarkson, Greenwood, Greenwald,) they are often called debunkers by the tinfoil hat wearing masses that currently populate the UFO environment. Conversely, the majority of other UFO "researchers" say nothing, staying silent while sitting on their hands. When a fellow researcher, read celebrity, makes an unsubstantiated claim or promotes a hoaxed photograph, they stay silent, not having the balls or the moral fortitude to speak up for the betterment of the UFO field. Such actions speak volumes about their personal and professional integrity.

Why is this so? Once again, it is painfully simple. Nobody wants to sacrifice their stature or popularity by making contrarian statements that stand against the hoaxed, the nonsensical, the unsupported. When erroneous declarations are made in the scientific research community, the offending person is cast out, and their statements are debunked through the use of valid, verifiable information. No such courses of action take place in the UFO subculture, in fact, there are no such standards or methodologies firmly established that would greatly lessen the chances of such embarrassing occurrences.

What is found nowadays is a landscape that is constructed, for the most part, on a foundation of celebrity, self-promotion, and blatant self-aggrandizment. No moral fortitude, no willingness to engage in intellectual combat, no balls for the fight for knowledge. Turns out a good majority of the UFO research community has been castrated, and has been made so by their own abominable choices.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
