Spinning the Ufological Wheels (2024 Edition.)
Greetings. 2025 is fast approaching, and has the UFO subculture taken any steps forward? Has any new information come to light? Has any proof or evidence been presented that has advanced the UFO field in any substantive direction? Let's take a look at the past calendar year....
Days have passed, months have passed, and nothing new or groundbreaking has come to light, a not unexpected situation considering the current state of the UFO subculture. The same old faces and voices continued to play their established parts in the fictional trainwreck that is the UFO field of dreams. Books were published, festivals were held, lectures were delivered, and on-the-air appearances constantly took place, yet nothing beyond the vocal, the anecdotal took place, or broke through the log jam of UFO rhetoric and juicy ufological excrement.
On August 20th, Luis Elizondo's "Imminent: Inside the Pentagon's Hunt for UFOs" was published and released to the public, promising new revelations and virgin information on the topic. But alas, nothing new surfaced, not a frigging thing. Mr. Elizondo has even resorted to using hoaxed UFO photographs in the course of the promoting of and delivering of lectures during the closing months of this year, making his credibility, such as it is, even more impossible to locate. How any UFO researcher can place any trust in Mr. Elizondo and his claims is beyond me. I suppose there is a sucker in every corner of the UFO landscape.
Pseudojournalist George Knapp and the UFO subculture's joga instructor, Jeremy Corbell, continued their never-ending push for self-promotional superiority over the UFO arena, offering up videos and photographs that suggested only a high level of bullshit on their part, and nothing else of note. Life is good for the peddlers of UFO nonsense.
The SCU's favorite call boy, Mr. Ross Coulthart, pictured above, spent the calendar year making a whole slew of unsubstantiated claims; of knowing the geographic location of an alleged alien spacecraft, of knowing the names of individuals directly involved in the cover-up of the UFO phenomenon, and of being privy to information that would reveal the answers to the UFO problem. Did Mr. Coulthart produce any information for the public to scrutinize? Did Mr. Coulthart practice a reasonable level of transparency? No on both counts. Sounds familiar doesn't it?
2025 likely will be no different.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
