Really Mr. Bassett?

Greetings. Stephen Bassett is the face of the disclosure movement, and has been for decades, although Luis Elizondo has been taking the limelight away in recent years. 

On December 30th, Mr. Stephen Bassett made the following statement on X, better known as Twitter, and I quote: "The answer to 'why another X-files reboot' is: from one end of the TV/Film/Streaming industry to the other, UAP related content projects are in the works because the content creators know what is coming - Disclosure." 

Some questions immediately present themselves, inquiries that to my skeptical mind are logical and necessary. 

1. How do Hollywood producers, content creators in the words of Mr. Bassett, know that disclosure is coming? 

2. Do some Hollywood producers have access to information that is not available to the general public? 

3. Why would the powers that be inform Hollywood producers about anything UFO related and secret in form? 

4. How does Mr. Bassett know that the Hollywood producers know? 

5. If Mr. Bassett does know, why has he not disclosed the information to the UFO subculture, and the public at large? 

6. Why would Hollywood producers, or their on-screen creations, have anything to do with a potential disclosure?

If anyone out there knows the answers to any of the aforementioned questions, I strongly encourage you to leave a comment here. I look forward to any answers. 

Mr. Bassett has been lobbying for disclosure in Washington D.C. for decades, although I don't know if he actually has been lobbying anyone at all. All we have is his word, and in today's world, someone's word is often not good enough. Taking his claims at face value, what has Mr. Bassett accomplished in his decades in Washington D.C.? Since disclosure has not occurred, I will make the declaration that Mr. Bassett's efforts have been unproductive. As far as his recent statement, such comments have been made before, on only a few thousand occasions, and the UFO subculture is batting an embarrassing .000, which would result in a trip down to the minor leagues if we were playing Major League Baseball. 

Putting the sports analogy aside, why are such statements made in the first place? Do some researchers actually believe what they are saying? Perhaps. Are some UFO personalities simply dangling the proverbial carrot in front of the UFO (subculture) horse? I do believe that is often the case. 

I certainly hope Mr. Bassett is correct, but I won't be holding my breath, I need all the oxygen I can get.
