Is the UFO Subculture Senile or Just Morally Corrupt?

Greetings. Senility? Immorality? Or something deeper and far, far more disturbing.  Forgetfulness. The UFO subculture has one of the shortest memories of any fringe "community," and has always suffered from that particular malady. People involved in UFO research, former and current members of the Mutual UFO Network, and individuals erroneously labeled as whistleblowers are just a few of the multiple examples of the UFO subculture's inability to remember recent events and claims, or to display some reasonable level of moral fortitude and decisiveness. MUFON's own John Ventre, pictured above, is a former state director for the states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. A Pot of Ufological Gold, or a Pile of Nothingness?

Greetings. The collection of UFO information. The archiving of witness testimonials.  The UFO research community has some dedicated individuals who consistently apply legitimate research efforts and resources to the effort to explore the enigma of unidentified flying objects. They are all worthy of our full support and are deserving of accolades.  Some being the operative word.  A good majority of the UFO research community dedicates itself to the archiving of witness testimonials; anecdotal information about alleged encounters with the UFO phenomenon. While certainly a worthwhile endeavor, are such efforts productive?
